On Friday, June 24, the Bethlehem Museum had the honor to receive the visit of a high level delegation from the Kingdom of Belgium as part of their agenda in the State of Palestine. The mission was headed by the Governor of the Province of Hainaut, H.E. Tommy Leclercq, and the President of provincial College, H.E. Serge Hustache.
The governor of Bethlehem, H.E. Jibreen Al Bakri, the mayor of the city of Bethlehem, H.E. Vera Baboun, and other government officials accompanied the delegation’s visit to the Museum, during which the guests were able to experience and learn about the vivid culture and rich traditions of Palestine. The delegation was impressed with the museum’s long history, and was very proud of the committed perseverance of the Arab Women’s Union in preserving the dream until it became reality with the help of HCEF.
After a one-hour guided tour through the treasures of the Bethlehem Museum, the delegation had the opportunity to taste the most exquisite Palestinian cuisine and experience the authentic ambience at Al Karmeh Restaurant.
At the end of the visit to the Museum, the Brussels-Wallonia Delegation received from the Regional Manager of the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation, Eng. Anthony Habash, the key of Palestine. The delegation was happy to be honored with such a gracious gift and important symbol of Palestine.
